Just my opinions, a blockchain can be truly decentralize however what screws it up totally is the idea of a dollar value behind the token/coin. Whenever there is a dollar amount attached to that "reward" token, greed would kick in consequently a centralization of wealth in which a play of power.
We've seen this happening not only on STEEM however on many other projects out there. Even in bitcoin during the last major dump where there was a theory that the large miners wanted to take out the smaller miners and did a massive dump in the market knowing that these small miners would have to take out their machine if they are running at a loss.
But again .. these are just my opinions =). Stay safe buddy !
