What a day! And completely not as planned!
Today we continued our journey over Belgium to Paris.
After arriving really late at night in Germany yesterday, it was quite hard to continue early this morning.
But with only one hour delay we were finally on our way.
Best case scenario we wanted to be in Paris during the afternoon - well that was best case scenario.
Unfortunately traffic on the motorway was really bad! By 18:00 we finally arrived in Chantilly, a small town outside of Paris. - I think I wouldn’t have survived the traffic, if we would have decided to park the car closer to the city.
My nerves just don’t handle it 🙈 I’m actually quite impressed that there are not more accidents 🙈
From there we took an easy train ride to Paris.
Arrival Time in Paris: 19:00
I thought well, not too bad, we technically have the whole night, before we have to continue driving again.
But no - last train back to Chantilly goes at 22:35.
So we went from our hopes of having the best case scenario to a kind of little rushed one. 😅🙈
Finally in Paris, we visited Sacré-Cœur, Louvre and Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel.
We really wanted to visit the Eiffel Tower, but due to the time we had left and our hunger that became bigger and bigger, we only got a short look at it from far!
Nevertheless the day with @sflovik was really great and fun! Walking the streets of Paris, with all the lights and people enjoying their time in the parks and restaurants, had something beautiful!
In the end nothing came as planned, but I guess that’s part of the adventure!
Soon we are on the road again, but the car is prepared for a cozy sleepover 😴 - wherever that will be!
Tomorrow we finally arrive in Cassis, can’t wait to enjoy some days of sun ☀️😍
