My new job as full-time CEO of Decentralize IT AS and Deegram AS

in #deegram4 years ago

Hi, all!
Well, I guess the job isn't new, as I co-founded Decentralize IT AS together with @sflovik back in the day (january of 2018). Almost two years later (fall of 2019), we split up as he wanted to work as a consultant, and I supported his wish and bought back his shares of the company and gave him one of our clients as a parting gift.
Now, one year later, the company is still well and alive, thanks to all of you wonderful people on the HIVE blockchain, as you gave us a place to build our dream social media, that was built on blockchain technology and gave people an app and web-platform to share their ideas, thoughts and visions for the future as well as beautiful art, poetry and music.
So far, we've enabled photo uploads in Deegram, and we've also integrated an audio and video player for users to browse all the magnificent videos and music uploaded on HIVE, and the future is to integrate both sharing of links (from the app) as well as the potential live-stream in the future (this is costly both for us due to server-costs as well as risky as we haven't integrated the AI content filter fully yet, which is still under development behind closed doors to ensure malicious content/dangerous/abusive content to be shown to our users, as we are starting to attract both high-schoolers and college students even before starting our University tour which was covid-19 postponed as we're all in home-offices right now).
The only thing stopping us right now is Apple which is late on their delivery of a brand new M1 chipped 16gb ram MacBook Pro necessary for further development of Deegram, as the integration of AI as well as the utilization of the HIVE blockchain now makes our compile time as high as one minute on my computer and less on the heavier computers in the company, but a new MBP is necessary to ensure further development of both Deegram and related apps (we're considering several complementary apps to Deegram as well as to the HIVE blockchain, and we're running for witness pretty soon, as soon as we get the hardware to run a node, we're only missing a new processor and then we're good. (We also have a 2017 MacBook Pro for a node, but it only has 8GB of ram which is a bit short for such a large blockchain with 3-second transaction time).
Best regards to all my friends on the blockchain, and to all the other dApps out there: Keep it going! We finally made some money on Deegram in 2020 (due to our built-in 15% delegation to @deegramofficial), and without any ICO other than crowdfunding through Spleis.no/deegram in 2020 and consultancy projects to build the app and web-platform, the team is proud to announce that from 2021 we're finally breaking even and making money on both beta.deegram.com and the app.
It feels great, and we couldn't have done it without the amazing support from all the great people on this (and our previous) blockchain which rooted for us along the way.
The plan onwards for us is as always to build a great social network built on blockchain that is sustainable, scalable and robust for our users (and all the other users on this blockchain) to enjoy and post their images, videos(coming soon), songs(coming soon) and links(coming soon) as well as other potential content types and/or formats in the future. We're considering stories, but we're still not sure as we see everybody doing stories these days.
My best regards to all of you, and have a great monday onwards!
