Review Major Grom: Plague Doctor, the Russian high concept action thriller made during the Pandemic now available on Netflix.
Earlier this week, as the Russians turned the tide on the battlefield in Kursk, Russia, and Pokrovsk, Ukraine - more on that later - a From A to Z movie reviewer watched Major Grom set in Saint Petersburg and released as Covid-19 struck fear in people around the world. There is no mention of the Pandemic nor does the cast wear masks to stop spreading coronavirus. Only the Plague Doctor has a mask on, this American archetype superhero compared to Batman is vilified in a moment almost lost in translation.
The review of this movie is as important as the reason; it’s the only unapologetic Russian movie on Netflix. There’s also a series, To the Lake, with a season two production delayed in 2021. Is it a coincidence that’s when Major Grom was released? We might never know the effects the invasion of Ukraine has had on season two of To the Lake where we left the characters witnessing a Chinese invasion.
Another coincidence can be seen in this picture in formats where available, as Putin 2.0 stands in front of what looks like a carnival ride before a county fair is scheduled to open. Yet upon closer inspection, one sees it is instead the location for the opening scenes of Major Grom on formats where available:

At the same time global public opinion is turning against the US as the November election draws closer. This is being orchestrated by the Kremlin through media buys and broadcasted comments guised as click bait on various internet platforms.
The timing of Presidential elections has been earmarked as a weakness in US national defense in much the same way as the Olympic games in years past. At this time, a new Russian invasion after the Paris 2024 games has yet to occur.
However, the Ukrainian invasion of Russia – mentioned earlier – that reversed for a time this week, has now been revealed as a trap for Russian defenders. They now fight using more ammunition and fuel in a suicidal offensive as the pontoon bridges used for supplies are destroyed and the Ukrainian army moves across the border at a location further west of Kursk, surrounding them.
Meanwhile in Pokrovsk, soldiers including the best Russian drone operators armed with rifles fill meat wave after meat wave taking meaningless wheatfields as Ukrainians pull back to regroup in cities and high ground in the area. Ukraine would be best served if they can halt this advance short of Pokrovsk to keep current supply routes operational before winter sets in.
In other developments China has turned critical of Russia. Iran tries to buy enriched uranium while ISIS and Al-Qaeda make their presence felt. Israel has all but destroyed Hamas forever, a real battle with Hezbollah never materialized, and Houthi rebels hit Israel with ballistic missiles.
Presidential Debate Review.
With the last debate of the 2024 election now in the history books explain effects it’s having as voting looks to take place soon.
Putin 2.0 has endorsed Harris making Russian television pundits laugh at the stupid West running with the headline. In Brazil, leftwing radicals block free speech confiscating millions from Elon Musk for payments of fines after finding him in violation of their order. Now the Pope has come out declaring American Catholics should choose the lesser of two evils this year.
The Pope is obviously critical of Harris and the Democrats on abortion. Not as obvious, the Pope decries Trump on his emigration stance. Excluding comments made during the debate about cooking cats and dogs, or people’s pets; emigration along the southern border saved Trump’s life and remains his most steadfast talking point in any conversation.
Seeing through the veil, what’s really at stake here is America’s population makeup, leading to a change in redistricting in every state of the union if overseen by someone like the Pope. Most immigrants are Catholic because it’s the predominate religion of Mexico, Central, and South America. Even immigrants who arrive from the European continent are most likely Catholic. Border hoppers from Asia could be an outlier, while not adhering to a dwindling Protestant fellowship that until recently added strength to the Republican party filling conventions with believers.
This does nothing for the federal legalization of Marijuana to help the Hemp industry breakthrough as an important factor in the solution to climate change. Ironically, this is the undoing of American politics from the past now turning a page made from timber in a crime against humanity since Hemp could have been used instead as a renewable resource enriching millions of Americans.
