Your reach here may be small but that $8 is more than I make in 10 such posts. Congratulations, you've been noticed by @Xyle and his automated upvote army! They don't actually read content, they just upvote stuff based on calculating it to pay out well and earn them curation money. They are profiteers and spammers, a detriment to the blockchain. But now that you've been added to their list, most of what you post will do well. It's hard to say no to free money, and what appears to be recognition! Just wanted you to have the heads up. It was he and his buddies who helped destroy the previous blockchain, and continue to rape it relentlessly. Their affection is a 2 edged sword.
I was wondering how I could get such dollars so quickly. If I click on @Xyle there is no such user, so I am not sure how this person can upvote for my posts. A mystery.
Still have no idea how this all works, to be honest. And also, I am not here to make money. I just want to use the HIVE token or whatever it is to "Power Up" so that my posts can have more reach (but have no idea if this is still how the chain/site works). It is all too complicated for me, as I don't have the time to learn it well. I just want to share my thoughts, research, and views with like-minded people and don't want to be censored on Twitter, Facebook, and those poisonous platforms.
I've tried to spread the word of this exposé on a Twitter account, but it didn't take long for them to ban me (for now stated reason, no possibility of appeal, and now answer to my query) and now, I can't easily get back on there. They somehow either know my PC/machine ID or somehow now me because I can't even try with a new account before my first post blacklists me right away. They definitely don't want this kind of info on their platform, as it goes against their predominant extremist/Marxist/left-wing narrative and ideology. What a pity, the tool/platform itself can actually be a tremendous communication tool; unfortunately, it has been compromised and weaponized by you know who and for you know what.

Powering up your tokens essentially give your votes more magnitude. The more you have staked (invested), the more you can dish out to your commenters, other content-creators you watch, and potentially also yourself. It doesn't increase the reach of your content, as it does on some platforms like LBRY.
