A former YouTube employee has sued Google alleging that he has pressured recruiters to only see women, blacks, Hispanics or applicants from Latin America. Arne Wilberg, who worked for Google for 9 years, formally sued the company last January. The offended says that Google implemented "clear and irrefutable policies" to exclude white and Asian men, in an effort to increase the average diversity of the company. He also said that his life was difficult to be against these policies until he was eventually fired in November 2017.

Wilberg's lawsuit is against Google and 25 employees (whose names have not been given), who allegedly applied discriminatory rules when it came to recruiting new employees. The plaintiff supports his statements with emails and other documents. Indicates that for many months, Google only sought to hire people from historically underrepresented groups in terms of technical positions.

Wilberg also alleges that many employees complained to the company about its policies to hire people, but were ignored, transferred or fired. The lawsuit indicates that some people from marginalized groups were very dissatisfied with the "Project Mirror" program where it is said, they were assigned to the race or gender. One person, "he complains," complained, indicating that the administrators spoke of blacks as if they were objects. "

However, Google says: "We have a clear policy on hiring candidates, based on their merits and not on their identity ... At the same time we try to find a diverse set of candidates that qualify for certain open roles, because this helps hiring to the best people, improving our culture and building better products. "Despite this, the Wall Street Journal did its own investigation where anonymous sources are cited indicating that some of Wilberg's allegations are true.

For 2017, 69% of Google's workforce was male, compared to 70% in 2014 and 91% were white or Asian, a percentage that has barely changed in three years. But two former Google employees sued the company this year for discriminating against white men, which is one of the strangest lawsuits the Court has ever seen in the United States. On the other side, because they have been sued for less, they have an employee for promoting diversity via the web and for creating a "bro culture" that promotes - says - sexual harassment.

It must be said that regardless of whether the plaintiffs' allegations are true, it is clear that whenever there is money involved, we can see that there are people who demand to see if they can easily make money.
