Some of the most exciting projects I worked on during my early years as a Designer were related to music. The reason why music and design are such an interesting combination is because creating images for something so subjective as sound is always a challenge and at the same time, a perfect opportunity to embrace experimentation.

The pictures above are a couple of flyers I made years ago. The first one is very special, since it belongs to one of the first music events I made from concept to execution; besides the whole planning I was in charge of the creative/art direction, and chose a very clean aesthetic for the promotional material. Back then social media wasn't as popular as it is today, so in order to spread the voice about an upcoming event we had to print our flyers and posters, the old school way... and it was the best ( :

Second picture is another flyer for a Dj residency at a local club. This time I just designed the flyer and enjoyed the party. The club was a very special place (it was closed just a couple of years ago) full of trees and fresh air; one particular thing about the place was the presence of circles all over its architecture, pretty unique, like nothing I've ever seen before, so the concept behind the artwork was of course.. the circles with a vibrant color.

That's all for now, but more designs inspired by music are coming.. as I keep on exploring the archives ; )

Thanks for reading!☺︎
