Da ich ja vor einiger Zeit über das die Karl Marx Statue berichtet hatte möchte ich nun im Gegenzug auch über die Mariensäule in Trier berichten. Es ist ein Denkmal zu Ehren Marias, der Mutter Jesu. Die Statue selbst ist durch Spenden der Bürger finanziert worden und sogar die Nachtbeleuchtung wird heute noch von Spenden Finanziert. Somit stehen beide Statuen in Gegensätzen wie es kaum noch anders sein könnte. Eine Selbstfinanzierte Mariensäule, und eine von China gespendete Statue eines Satanisten. Hier deckt sich ebenso die innere Stärke und Kraft der Trierer auf, eine von außerhalb Installierte Plastik wird vielleicht das Bild welches man auf die Trierer hat verdecken aber nicht von innen heraus aushöhlen.
Hier noch ein Bilde. Leider hatte ich keine Zeit näher ran zu gehen und konnte nur in der Vorbeifahrt Fotos schießen.
Since I had reported some time ago about the Karl Marx statue I would like to report now in return also about the Mariensäule in Trier. It is a monument in honour of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The statue itself was financed by donations of the citizens and even the night lighting is still financed by donations. Thus both statues stand in contrasts as it could hardly be otherwise. A self-financed Marian column, and a statue of a Satanist donated by China. Here also the inner strength and power of the Trierers is revealed, a sculpture installed from outside will perhaps hide the image one has of the Trierers but not hollow it out from the inside.
