Bayer 04 Leverkusen auf dem Weg zum 2. Titel?
Heute Abend steigt das Rückspiel im Europa League Halbfinale Leverkusen gegen Rom.
Durch das 2:0 in Rom ist Leverkusen in einer guten Ausgangslage. Die Römer müssen kommen, müssen mindestens 2 Tore machen um wenigstens die Verlängerung und / oder ein Elmeterschiessen zu erzwingen.
Xabi Alonso hat es bisher hervorragend verstanden, seine Mannschaft auf die Spiele einzustellen. Und er gibt den Spielern das Vertrauen und die Zuversicht mit auf den Weg, ihre Ziele erreichen zu können.
Diese mentale Stärke war sicher ein Teil des Erfolges, immer wieder auch ein Spiel in den letzten Minuten oder in der Nachspielzeit zu ihren Gunsten entscheiden zu können.
Auch Real Madrid hatte gestern diese Stärke, den Willen und den Glauben daran, auch nach dem Gegentor der Bayern, dieses Spiel noch gewinnen zu können. Das ist die Stärke, die es braucht, um in dieser entscheidenden Phase einer Saison erfolgreich zu sein.
Im 2. Spiel treffen heute Abend Atalanso Bergamo und Olympique Marseille aufeinander. Favorit ist hier (wenn es nach den Buchmachern geht) Bergamo.
Wird bestimmt wieder ein spannender Fussball-Abend.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen on the way to their second title?
Tonight the second leg of the Europa League semi-final will be between Leverkusen and Rome.
The 2-0 win in Rome puts Leverkusen in a good starting position. The Romans have to come and score at least 2 goals to at least force extra time and/or a penalty shootout.
So far, Xabi Alonso has done an excellent job of preparing his team for the games. And it gives the players the trust and confidence that they can achieve their goals.
This mental strength was certainly part of their success, as they were always able to decide a game in their favor in the last minutes or in stoppage time.
Yesterday Real Madrid also had this strength, the will and the belief that they could still win this game even after Bayern conceded a goal. That is the strength it takes to be successful in this crucial phase of a season.
Atalanso Bergamo and Olympique Marseille meet in the second game this evening. The favorite here (if the bookmakers have their way) is Bergamo.
It will definitely be another exciting football evening.
