The deadline I set for finishing the rap song is expiring in a few hours, and I’ve decided to let you win.
7 days was the deadline...
... and not only did a few things come up. A DJing event on Saturday, a power outage on Monday, a business opening I had to attend on Tuesday to organize DJ activities for myself, and the next day (Wednesday) I was hungover. Finally, I was in too poor a mental state.
The beat is finished (though it would still need to be arranged – not a big deal), the lyrics are already fully written, all words integrated, and I’ve already rapped the lyrics many times. Yesterday I would have had some time, I wanted to finalize everything, but I had no energy.
In the end, I decided to let you win. Even though technically I managed to use all the words, my promise was that I would fully produce the song within 7 days. That was my word; those 7 days were not met and therefore...

I’m okay with it. Why shouldn’t you also have a bit of luck? I also don’t want to start making excuses like “but I already have the lyrics” or “give me a few more days.” 7 days were part of the bet, and I decided yesterday (within the very last possible hours) not to produce the song within that timeframe. Yesterday it simply would have been a fight, and right now I’m surrounded by fights and burdensome things… so I chose to let you win.

I’ve noted down all the stakes in my text file. Accordingly, I just sent the HSBI to the respective participants via Lovegun. I wrote the transaction ID of my transfer behind each name. (I left the “X” in my text document – these were actually my markers for whether I had already integrated a word...)

Will the song still come out someday?
Yes. As long as I was in a good mental state, it was a lot of fun producing the song. And in essence, it’s already finished: I just need to record the vocals and lay down the different parts of the beat.
Also, 2 or 3 Hivians wrote that they are really looking forward to the song. I don’t want to take that joy away from you. I will mention all contest participants in the corresponding post.
I also think the lyrics and vibe of the song turned out so well that I’d genuinely like to release it. I think it’s so good that I didn’t want to “sloppily throw it together” yesterday. I probably could have done it – but it wouldn’t have been worthy of the vibe, the song, or you.

Certainly! I’ll probably first finish this one song here. But I already have an idea for the next round, how we could do such an action again without just copying it one-to-one. Let’s see...

Die von mir gesetzte Deadline zur Fertigstellung des Rap-Songs läuft in ein paar Stunden ab und ich habe entschieden euch gewinnen zu lassen.
7 Tage waren Deadline...
... und nicht nur sind mir ein paar Sachen dazwischengekommen. Ein DJing-Event am Samstag, Stromausfall am Montag, eine Geschäftseröffnung an der ich teilnehmen musste um mir dort DJ-Aktivitäten zu organisieren am Dienstag und am nächsten Tag (Mittwoch) verkatert war, final ein mental zu schlechter Zustand.
Der Beat dafür ist fertig (müsste aber noch arrangiert werden - das wäre keine große Sache), der Text ist bereits fertig geschrieben, alle Wörter integriert, der Text schon vielfach von mir gerappt. Gestern hätte ich dann etwas Zeit gehabt, wollte alles fertigstellen, hatte aber keine Energie.
Letztlich habe ich mich dann entschieden euch gewinnen zu lassen. Auch wenn ich es technisch gesehen geschafft habe, alle Wörter zu verbauen, war mein Wort, dass ich den Song innerhalb 7 Tage fertig produziere. Dies war mein Wort; diese 7 Tage werden nicht eingehalten und folglich...

Ich bin okay damit. Warum sollt auch ihr nicht etwas Glück haben. Ich will jetzt auch nicht rumreden "ich habe ja den Text" oder "gebt mir noch ein paar Tage". 7 Tage waren Teil der Wette und ich habe mich gestern (innerhalb der letzten möglichen Stunden) entschieden, den Song innerhalb dessen nicht produzieren zu wollen. Es wäre gestern einfach ein Kampf gewesen und momentan bin ich so umzingelt von Kämpfen und belastenden Dingen... da habe ich mich entschieden, euch gewinnen zu lassen.

Ja. Es hat mir, solange es mir mental gut ging, viel Spaß gemacht, den Song zu produzieren. Und er ist ja im Grunde auch bereits fertig: ich müsste nurnoch die Vocals aufnehmen und die verschiedenen Teile des Beats entsprechend drunterlegen.
Auch haben ja 2, 3 Hivians geschrieben, dass sie sich wirklich auf den Song freuen. Diese Freude will ich euch nicht nehmen. Ich werde alle Wettteilnehmer im entsprechenden Posting erwähnen.
Auch finde ich, ist der Text und Vibe des Songs so gut geworden, dass ich ihn durchaus gerne veröffentlichen würde. Ich finde ihn so gut, dass ich ihn gestern nicht schlampig "hinrotzen" wollte. Ich hätte es wahrscheinlich machen können - das wäre aber dem Vibe, dem Song und euch nicht würdig gewesen.

Sure, a bet is a bet, no matter what. Yes, I have serious problems with publishing BS - I identify myself to much with my work and output... kind of ill already.
Yes, I think we can be excited. I am still in a phase of general transition which is always a little nerve wrecking; at least in this kind of transitions I am. But at least today as I woke up and started in my day I felt less heavy than the last time. (Maybe you already saw the news and know what I am talking about...).
