Was fällt Euch an diesem Text auf?
Kardinal, Rabbi und Admiral, als Führungstrio null und nichtig und darum völlig abhängig vom Ami-Trust, tat durch Rundfunk und Plakatanschlag kund, dass Nahrungsnot und damit Tod aufs Volk zukommt. Zunächst tat man das als Falschinformation ab. Das ist Propagandagift, sagt man. Doch bald schon ward spürbar, was man ursprünglich nicht glaubt. Das Volk griff zu Stock und zu Dolch. „Gib´ uns das täglich Brot“, hallts durchs Land, und „pfui auf das Patronat, auf Ordnung, Macht und Staat“. Konspiration ward ganz normal, Komplott üblich. Nachts sah man kaum noch Uniform…
Richtig, er kommt ohne den häufigsten Buchstaben im Deutschen (ebenso im Englischen und Französischen) - das "e" - aus. Der oulipotische Autor George Perec hatte 1968 den 300-seitigen(!) Roman "La disparition" geschrieben, ohne ein einziges "e"! 1986 wurde er kongenial unter dem Namen "Anton Voyls Fortgang" ins Deutsche übersetzt, ebenfalls auf jedes "e" verzichtend. Das Zitat oben stammt vom Beginn des Vorwortes.
Ein Lipogramm ist also ein Spiel mit der Sprache, bei dem ein Text verfasst wird, dem bewusst bestimmte Buchstaben fehlen. Erstmals wurde ein solcher im 6.Jhd v. Chr. gefunden!
Unnötig zu erwähnen, dass es umso schwieriger ist, solche Texte zu verfassen, je häufiger der Buchstabe vorkommt. Gerade im Deutschen, mit den häufigen Artikeln "der" oder "die", und wo viele Verbformen ein "e" enthalten, verblüfft es mich immer wieder, wie erfindungsreich Eugen Helmlé (der selbst zwei lipogrammatische Romane geschrieben hatte) vorgegangen war bei der Übersetzung von "La disparition".
Übrigens, das bekannte Gedicht von Ernst Jandl „ottos mops“ ist nicht lipogrammatisch, sondern monovokalistisch.
Aber jetzt zum Wesentlichen:
Ihr selbst seid aufgefordert, einen lipogrammatischen Text zu schreiben: Alles ist erlaubt - Gedicht, Essay, Kurzgeschichte, Marktanalyse, Buchkritik, Sinnspruch bis hin zu einem Meme.
Warum? Weil es Spass macht und die Gehirnzellen anstrengt, ausserhalb der gewohnten Bahnen zu denken.
Hier die Regeln:
- Ein beliebiger Text in deutsch von mind. 50 Zeichen Länge (je länger, desto höher die Chancen für den Gewinn)
- Es darf kein "e" vorkommen
- Je weniger grammatische Fehler, desto besser
- Deadline ist der 13.Mai!
- Schreibe den Text als eigenen post oder als comment zu diesem post
- Verwende den #lipogramchallenge tag, falls du einen post dazu schreibst
- Upvote diesen Beitrag
- Optional: Resteeme diesen Beitrag

Correct: It is a version of the famous poem, but without using the letter "e", the most common letter in the English language.
(Original:
Mary had a little lamb
Its fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
The lamb was sure to go
He followed her to school one day
That was against the rule
It made the children laugh and play
To see the lamb in school)
This is an example of a lipogram - "literary work in which one compels oneself strictly to exclude one or several letters of the alphabet."
It is a play with language and the more common a letter, obviously the more difficult to compose. The oldest one found is from the 6th century before Christ!

But now to the important stuff: You are challenged to compose a lipogrammatic text – anything is allowed: poem, essay, short story, market analysis, book review, or a meme – whatever you prefer!
Why? Because it makes fun and trains your brain – you have to think outside of the normal ways.

- not even a single „e“ is allowed
- the fewer grammatical errors the better
- deadline is the 13th May
- write the text as a post or as a comment to this post
