World Health Organization-WHO has published a detailed report on the value of air in 792 cities of 67 countries, where Bangladesh's capital city is third in terms of pollution among megacities.
The report, published on Tuesday, shows that in 2016, the average average amount of 104 microgram of floating particles (PM10) of 10 micrometres per cubic meter air in Dhaka In 2015, 145 micrograms and 150 micrograms in the previous year.
The average average amount of air circulation of 2.5 micrometres (PM 2.5) per cubic meter is 57 micrograms in 2016, 82 micrograms in 2015 and 85 micrograms in the previous year.
According to the WHO standards, the PM10 is less than 20 micrograms per cubic meter and less than 10 micrograms of PM 2.5 is called a healthier air.
