Kryptogames change their odds

in #dice7 years ago

I like to play a bit of blackjack from time to time and the Dice games are fun as well. Now that brought me to the 3 biggest dice games on STEEM

For the dice games if you want to collect a nice amount of tokens and take advantage of the dividends its best to put the slider up to 95 and then take the 5% loss in order to get future dividends.

The coolest thing about @kryptogamers was that they had the possibility to set the slider to 96% which gave the users way better odds and thus better chances to collect their tokens.

Now I wrote a post about this on the 4th of may, 11 days ago and then the situation was like this

But now this situation seems to have changed. The max setting now is 95% like the 2 other dice games thus removing the player advantage. Personally I do not mind that a company does this if they notice that the losses are getting to high for them. What I do not like is not communicating about it.

The main thing these games talk about is being provably fair. But if they then fail to communicate something like this it goes against what they are preaching. For me I still like them the best since they have the auto bet and they have blackjack and video poker.

BUT the other 2 games are really picking up the pace

magicdice give away 5000000 tokens to the top 15 of their daily players but they have not posted anything in the last 3 months
@epicdice is giving away 200k of their tokens a day to the top players and is now marketing their game effectively and have a really nice layout

Just as an example, the 150k tokens I had from @magicdice I completely forgot but when I checked I had 18 steem in open dividends from them. For the moment I am getting 1 -1.5 steem per day on @kryptogamers. For now I am trying to cut down on the playing but I am taking my dividends to get a few more tokens.
The only thing I am fearful of is when the tokens have all been distributed then the players will stop trying to get them and the revenue stream will dry up.

  • What are your thoughts on the unannounced change from @kryptogamers?

  • Do you own any dice tokens?

  • Are these gambling games just a phase on the blockchain or do they have a future?

Sort:

How many kryptogamer coins do you have?

I managed to make it up to 1.7 million
that is 0.13% of the dividends (roughly)

Dam! That’s quite an impressive amount 😳

yea, went a bit overboard, lol

I dont might they change it up either, but they should properly communicate to the people.
I like their video power way more than their dice game
Dice games is just not funny for me xD

I am currently grinding to get tokens at @moonsteem crash game and its fun.
As they have the highest div payout when there is a profit.
Ref link, sorry if this is annoying :D

Awesome! Its pretty nice. I have delegated 10steems since I dont have that much liquid steem yet. But I do play daily for the tokens.
Ended up on the leaderboard yesterday getting 4k tokens, so thats a nice boost. Only having 15k tokens currently xD

Doesn't matter to me that Kryptogames changed their minimum risk bet. Betting on that setting takes was too long to make a few quick bucks and the house odds factor in before you will ever make find a streak worth your time. Their odds are great anyways, literally twice as good as steembet or magicdice, so kryptogames is good in that regard.
What makes me angry is you can't change your referral. The token mining isn't worthwhile like any site but they refuse to allow me to change my referral. I play to win and am up over 1700 right now.

i am up then I am down... but if I break even in the long run, the tokens are the gain imo

The problem is breaking even 😸

I am only concerned with their payout on a <95 roll compared to other sites. If they offer 0.001 steem more they are better.

Most sites are trying to confuse the hell out of me with contests that are won by robots and people with deep pockets, referrals that only benefit people who signed themselves up with alts, dividends that only benefit people with a ton of tokens, and tokens which have zero use and zero resale value asides from collecting diminishing dividends per token.

You may collect more junk when you make bets with 94% chance of winning but you have a 6% chance of losing 1 steem and a 94% chance of gaining 0.05 steem.

Also, you get 0.01 steem in a message if you lose, so you you are better off taking the <5 bet and just brining more to the table. That 0.01 adds up, lol.

lol, very true, I never looked at the 0.01 as an extra revenue...
