"I'm starving," the hubby said and pulled over by Our Northern Coffee House yesterday evening. It was half-past 6, so it's just the perfect time for the last meal of the day.
The place was quiet. Not a single table or seat was occupied, unlike in our previous dine ins where it was usually packed. "It seems we are the only hungry ones at this hour," I giggled as I looked around, taking a few photos of the place.
Couldn't stop myself from snapping some reflections too. The statue by the entryway to the sink looked a little creepy😅
We chose the table in the corner, and got settled. The LilGuy had a good quiet time watching things from his chair. His attention fixed outside the glass walls. He must be trying to find the two four-legged babies which he saw on our way in.
Our food came a lot quicker since we were the only customers to be catered to at that time. Buttered Garlic Shrimp and Lechon Pechay. But wait, let me take some photos first😁
The truth is, we were already eating when I remembered. Click! Click!
Then back to munching, alternately (hand) feeding our lil boy. He loved the veggies.
I am the laziest when it comes to peeling off the shrimp shells, so I only touched the veg dish. Thankfully, the hubby was kind enough to clean a few for me. Lucky huh?
The meal came with a complimentary soup (not pictured) which was rich in taste and pork flavor. "Do you think this wasn't artificially-flavored?" I asked the husband's opinion.
"No, he replied. "See these?" He continued, pointing at the traces of meat under the clear broth. "Yeah, that's true." I agreed. They seem to have boiled pork bones on the electrical clay stew pot. One can even get a refill if desired.
Anyway, we left the food place satisfied, and with three lil bags of our leftovers (rice, shrimps, lechon veg), and headed home, arriving here in BC just before 11 pm.
Oh well, hello, September🤩
