You're speaking the truth here dawg. I was in the restaurant business a long time and we were fairly successful because we tried hard to create a family friendly environment for the employees and the customers. Plus the food was pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Who wants to spend their money at a business that treats people like dirt?
This is a problem at a lot of businesses. Somebody becomes manager and all of a sudden thinks they rule the world. Eventually employees split because who needs that kind of harassment every day? Constant turnover in staff leads to reduced productivity since eventually the only people who'll work for you are the kind that can't get another job (i.e. lazy). I've seen a few places around my area go right into the toilet this way.
