of Trump's first State of the Union address
................................................................................................................................................................

I wonder how much it hurt them to admit it?

Some people didn't like it..for example @caitlinjohnstone said
last night's vapid, flag-waving State of the Union address,.

I took exception to that. I told her so. I unfollowed her and left a little gift. Just a small flag...nothing much. A small percentage of the voting power that I could have used. It won't hurt her but it registered my disapproval of what she said.
As I also told her...she has a RIGHT to her opinion.
And I have the right to flag it to oblivion...but I didn't
Momma always told me...
Don't hit the gurls
so I didn't
(much)

As for me...

I thought Trump's speech was magnificent. I speak as a Viet Nam Era Vet....and some things you can NOT have too much of.

Flag waving on patriotic occasions is one of them.

Those who are not patriots would not understand.

Sort:

They must have forgotten to include the MSNBC and CNN hosts in that poll.

or maybe they were the 25% - I was wondering who they were.

lol, certainly part of the 25%

The poll was rigged...against Trump
they all are.
but it wasn't rigged ENOUGH

I am sure they will be working overtime to rig it properly next time.

Maybe they will remove the "Approve" option from the possible responses.

That will fix it.

Hoo-Rah!

We all have the right to wave our flag and express our opinions; I suppose it is the voting power that gives us the democratic platform. My respects for all.

Did you see adamkokesh's dtube take on it?

As a vet himself, he took a very different view...

nope..didn't see it.
everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Absolutely.
Interesting to see the difference in perspectives, from people who see lots of things in pretty much the same vein.

I watched all the SOTU speech. I was really amazed because it is the first time in 20 years that an American President labeled the government of my country (Venezuela) as it really is: A communist dictatorship. I pray for the american people, that they realize how their country is going to be better for them, and for us because of the policies that could bring freedom to us as well.

Kudos to Trump!

It is so sad to see what is happening in Venezuela.

We were a beautiful country, now people is fleeing like we are Syria.

Good of you to say so.

I myself saw the speech, totally owned the room.
I've been following Trump since the early 80s.
He is a streamlining Ultra Businessman. Doesn't kiss the hand of anyone except the First Ladies.
What do you think he will do to a defunct, courupt, inefficient Bureaucracy...what he is doing, methodically, patiently, for the great American moment, and I glad.

Trump is the first man in American history to be elected to president without EVER previously holding ANY elected office.

I pretty much expect that most of the news to be "altered" in some fashion!

I imagine that you are correct.
they have the technology.
What is to stop them from using it?
Integrity?

They probably will need to look up that strange word!

Google translate of above to help us, non Russian readers;
In his speech, Trump paid considerable attention to ordinary Americans who made America better and stronger: "Over the past year, the world has become convinced of what we have always known: there is no people on the Earth, more fearless, brave and decisive, like the Americans. If there are mountains, we conquer them. If there is a boundary - we cross it. If there is a challenge, we respond to it. If there is an opportunity, we use it. "

Crazy about sarcasm? Congratulations, your intelligence level to be envied!

Your reply was very good :)
I wish I understood more languages :(

Haha

Peace, friendship, chewing gum?

Yah, of course! Unless we play paintball!!

WoW those democrats didn't look happy about anything good for tax paying American citizens at all. They flipped my grandparents last night, life long democrats no longer.

I wonder how many other people flipped?
the Republicans have a once in a lifetime golden opportunity.
I'm sure that they'll blow it..they always do.
the only question is in what new and innovative way they will do so.

The story of the couple who lost their son due to North Korea was heart wrenching, as well as the man who escaped. Its so crazy that a place like that can exist today as we are so removed from the reality of it.

Unfortunately, I agree with you. I only pray(oh no I'm a practicing Christian) that Trump is able to continue to apply his common sense business principles and I like his patriotic stands we heard last night as well. It was funny to hear how many times Obama used "I" in his state of the union address vs. Trump. Last night's talking points delivered for me and my family because we are middle class tax paying American citizens.

Christians are all right...most of the time.
Trump said "we"
The Kenyan said "I".

it kinds lets you in on what they are thinking.

I swear I remember Republicans cheering for Obama when he mentioned something they supported. Those Dems were something else. I thought the Dem response was horrible as well.
