less 60% of those eligible to do so, vote in any given Presidential Election
......................................................................................................................................................

record 137.5 million Americans voted in the 2016 presidential election,
The United States has a population of 327 million

about sixty million out of 327 million selected the president.
Eighteen percent of the population?

This is in the PRESIDENTIAL election. All other elections have a fraction of the turnout.

Something doesn't seem quite right.

Sort:

But you better bet your bottom dollar they will be at the front of line lines BITCHIN’ about whose elected!

if you count the margin of victory, perhaps less than 1% determined the outcome? <<< I am not a statistician nor historian, but, it seems that historically 1% to 2% of the eligible voters determined major changes.

yup..IF it was a fair and honest election.
which is a theoretical possibility only.
it's never happened.
