RE: Why Are You Here?

I have never heard of Sola, i will look it up.
I am confident about being able to make a full time living with it, but it will take a lot of time getting there i think : ) There is a lot of off platform organizing to be done and things are happening very slowly for me.
Open democracy. If you look at the way City Councils and State Governance is run, they call it democratic, but we are unable to see how decisions have been arrived at. In fact, we the voters are kept well away from the actually decision making process. So an Open Democracy is the opposite of that. Its like the difference between having power 'over people' and having power 'with people' or the people 'having power over the decisions made' .
There is an organization in NZ that makes tools for open democracies. I am trying to become part of their organization and it is taking forever

Sorry it took so long to respond. I came down with a lovely little head cold and didn't feel that I was able to form an intelligent response last night lol. Here in America we are supposed to be a republic. We have fallen far from it, but it is the type of government I prefer as our constitution is supposed to protect the individual. The way you describe an open democracy sounds idealistic, but there is the danger of mob rule in my opinion. The majority isn't always right in their decisions and in worst case scenarios, the individual is in danger. :)
