RE: When the Citizens are disarmed

in #discussion7 years ago

I think you missed my point, or I didn't explain myself properly, there was a big story over here about Trump retweeting Britain First and another official describing London hospitals being like war zones but both points are wild exaggerations. It just feels like there are falsehoods about the UK doing the rounds.
Everything isn't sweetness and light but nor are there lunatics wielding machetes on every corner. The truth of course is somewhere in between but not very close to either extreme,
Like I said, come and see for yourself, I sent my own 12 year old daughter across to you guys a couple of months ago to visit family. I knew she wasn't going to be having out "in the hood" or looking for crystal meth (too much Breaking Bad influencing me?) so I didn't worry too much about her.
So no we don't believe all the bad news, we try to read between the lines.

Sort:

I'm a vietnam era vet.
I received combat pay.
I'd be scared to death to visit England.

Haha now you're just being silly. And the UK is way more than England, its Scotland, Wales and Northern Ire;and too. You still have a bit of learning to do.

You still have a bit of learning to do
a bit condescending wot?

the UK is way more than England, its Scotland, Wales and Northern Ire;and too

but the UK is WAY more smaller than the STATE I live in.

Ah so you live in Northern Mexico.

at one time it was...yup.
then came the texas revolution
then came the war with mexico
we won.
after that mexico could be considered south texas.
but we gave some of it back
we kept calilfornia, oregon, arizona, colorado, Utah and of course Texas.
treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

odd thing.
the per capita income of the UK is $41,602.98 USD
that of Texas is $54,200

I didn't know that until you mentioned that I had a lot to learn.
