I don't really know about engines but I do know how to fix things myself. Mostly household things, and despite being a woman, I have done a lot of strength work, such as repairing roofs, water pipes, changing light cables, painting, restoration.

My daughter is a fine mechanic, just need to get into it and get dirty. She has rebuilt an engine, changed a clutch, and repaired head gaskets. But she married an A&P (airplane) mechanic, so he could do that stuff now, LOL!
