Now that the last frost has passed through the country, it is time to bring the mushroom mycelium, which has been lying around for several weeks, into my parents' garden respectively forest soil.
Nachdem der letzte Frost nun durchs Land gezogen sein sollte, ist es Zeit die seit mehreren Wochen rumliegenden Pilzmycel in den heimischen Garten- bzw. Waldboden bei meinen Eltern einzubringen.
At the beginning of the work we were looking for a nice place for the later mushrooms. Due to the forest parts on the property the selection did not take long. The mushroom bed now borders directly on the forest and should therefore be an ideal base for the pink oyster mushrooms.
Zu Beginn der Arbeiten suchten wir ein schönes Plätzchen für die späteren Pilze. Aufgrund der Waldanteile auf dem Grundstück dauerte die Auswahl nicht lange. Das Pilzbeet grenzt nun direkt an den Wald und sollte dadurch eine ideale Grundlage für die Rosenseitlinge.
Afterwards we started with the necessary excavation. The bed measures 50x50 cm and is about 20 cm deep.
Danach begannen wir umgehen mit dem notwendigen Erdaushub. Das Beet ist in etwas 50x50 cm groß und ca. 20 cm tief geworden.
In addition, we filled a part with a mixture of old leaves and chopped reed from the local organic sewage treatment plant.
Zudem füllten wir einen Teil mit einem Gemisch aus altem Laub und geschnittenem Schilf von der heimischen Bio-Kläranlage auf.
Then we put 15 of the 25 mushroom plugs into the filled substrate and covered it with more.
Danach steckten wir 15 der 25 Pilzdübel in das eingefüllte Substrat und bedeckten dieses mit weiterem.
On this fresh layer of substrate we placed the remaining 10 mushroom plugs.
Auf diese frische Schicht Substrat legten wir die restlichen 10 Pilzdübel.
Now we covered the whole with 2 cm soil from the forest and ...
Nun bedeckten wir das ganze mit 2 cm Erde aus dem Wald und ...
… poured the whole properly. I am very curious if this will work and if the pink oyster mushrooms will taste good.
… gossen das Ganze ordentlich. Ich bin schon ganz gespannt, ob das was wird und ob der Rosenseitling auch schmeckt.
Pilzgärtnern macht ordentlich Spaß😍
Bis die Myzeldübel erstmal Fuß gefasst haben, dauert es leider etwas.
