RE: House Building #33 A house needs an chimney lets built it!

Fascinating. I am not a mason, so I am observing your meticulous work with great attention, because sometimes I have to do a little of it as a handyman, and you clearly have expertise that I can learn a lot from. I have a little entry I have to tile soon, at the doors of an aluminum and polycarbonate greenhouse I have constructed from a kit. I have 4 18" tiles, and three 12" tiles of roughly comparable thickness, and formed a 36"x50" concrete pad to set them on (so the doors will not be impeded by plant growth, and for aesthetic purposes). I am a bit concerned because the spacing between the different sized tiles needs to be different, and I have not glued natural stone tiles to concrete before, so hope I am able to make minute adjustments in a timely way to create as uniform and attractive finish as possible. It won't actually take very long to do the work, but due to my lack of expertise and the fact the finished job will be set in stone and is the finishing touch, I am anxious about making it as perfect as my skills allow. Can you provide any information about the glue you used to connect the chimney pipe, or would you recommend a different type of glue for stone to concrete connection?

Interestingly, I have that same (or very similar) 8" Hitachi grinder. Makes me feel like a pro!

Thanks!

The ceramic glue is a white /grey powder quite cheap. All the brands have the same stuff. The only important thing is to keep the mix correct
