Claudia Mo, an ace majority rule government official in Hong Kong, said dissenters who raged into the Legislative Council building are irate and baffled with their legislature.
"They're not inside that governing body doing all that vandalizing for the sake of entertainment. They were irate," she told CNN's Hala Gorani.
While Mo did not support the vandalism, she said she felt for dissenters.
"Every one of the photos you are seeing are stunning and they are surprising, yet then I trust the world wouldn't simply accuse the youthful. You need to comprehend their temper, outrage and dissatisfaction and hatred, antagonistic vibe specifically against this governing body, which is only an elastic stepping body. It's an elastic stepping body since it's being overwhelmed by Beijing cronies and they dwarf the Democrats such as myself included," she said.
Mo approached the city's beset Chief Executive Carrie Lam to turn out "truly and truly" to address occupants "at the earliest opportunity."
