Most people have no clue about impending threats, how to mitigate them, or defend against an actual attack. Planning for it, as unlikely as it may seem that it will happen, is preferable to not planning. Good post. Good concepts.

Yes, I agree with you. You cannot plan like I will punch, then kick and ..... When you face something like that, you do not get to choose. So, you can have a strategy, not a plan.
In a close range, you can do elbow strike, knee charge. If there is a distance, you can do other things. And there are situations where you cannot even raise your legs, let alone kick the attacker.
