The rate of the unbanked out there is alarmingly pathetic but what would banks that are supposed to offer solution do? The will impeded you, they will come up with all sort of KYC, AML, and strict regulations.
Cryptocurrencies do have the potential of reducing the rate of the unbanked out there!

No doubt they have the potential to change things, but I fear it may be quite a while before they effectively do so. For one thing, with the prices being so volatile, it maybe be difficult for people to have confidence in them.
