93 years old MIT computer scientist Fernando “Corby” Corbató is no more now. Last Friday, He took his last breath at his home in Newton, Massachusetts.

He was born in Oakland and being a researcher he did several crucial developments in the world of computer science which includes specially the invention of password, which he discovered while working in a new project called computer time sharing.

Computer Time-Sharing System (CTSS), known as one of the world’s first operating system, enabled multiple users to access a computer at the same time. Programmers first time used passwords in this computer system. CTSS was developed under the leadership of Corbató.
