DOJ is paying attention.
U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of New York and the FBI announced that it arrested and charged Virgil Griffith a research scientist of the Ethereum foundation.
Virgil visited North Korea at the Pyongyang Blockchain and Cryptocurrency Conference even when the U.S denied him from visiting the country.
He has been alleged to promote talks of evading sactions and laundering money.
Griffith has been charged with International Emergency Economic Powers Act which can mean a maximum 20-year prison sentence.
We going to have to be careful now.
