McConnel will be dead relatively soon, so he may never er have to deal with the outcome of his actions. So why would he care? Remember, these are people who are willing to allow the planet to go down the tubes and get to the point where human life will have a difficult time remaining at the top of the food chain. If they are okay with destroying the planet in the name of money and political expediency. Why would they give a shit about checks and balances?
