It is always a happy day in the life of a hog when they get moved into a new pen that has grown up. Their tails will even wag while they sleep for several days after until they have eaten everything down and are ready to be moved again. They stay in these smaller pallet pens in the heat of the summer where we can keep a close eye on them. It also keeps them close by so we can run sprinklers and shade cloths above to make sure they don't get to hot.
