I saw that video by @bonniepiesse .
The amount of work and excellence in that video is top notch, in my opinion, the best I've seen thus far. It's quite amazing that her quality content earned her such valuable upvotes with no bots and promos.
Seeing that video, two things strucked me:
- I was encouraged to continue steeming irrespective of the rewards (whether large or small), perhaps, one day one may grace the trending page. By the way, I was once on the trending page, thanks to @thejohalfiles and a couple of other whale's upvotes on a DTube video of mine.
- The need to improve on the quality of my vlogs. Now, I've gone further to take a course on video making for Youtube with the intent of continuing vlogging on Dtube and probably begin to use DLive. Apparently, I've stopped putting up videos on Dtube for a while now - I saw the need to make more qualitative videos.

I'll sure recommend it. Just that, as of now, it's only a live class for people in Nigeria. The facilitator is planning a WhatsApp session as well for those on a virtual space. I'm still new, at the registration phase, and would like to observe and see the content before I push for recommendation. Albeit, I believe it'll be worthwhile.
Like you said, learning by observing and researching on successful YouTube accounts is just fine as well: success they say, is the application of revealed principles and means. Whoever wants to become as to look at who has been and who is.
By the way, you've made a huge success of your steem account though! I see your videos, learnt a lot from you...in case you don't know!
