Hi @jmjury, you're not alone in thinking that. You are of course right to put your family first always.
In terms of the different projects you want to pursue, my advice would be just pick one and get on with it and see where it goes. In terms of you time, this post might be useful.

Thanks for the advice, @nalabra, and the link to the 5 Ways to Protect Your Time post -- all very useful tips. I'm doing 1-3 fairly well, but need to seriously work on 4 and 5. I get you with just picking one thing but man it's hard for me.
