#ULOG 016: Cooking a UTAN BISAYA ( sinabawang gulay)

Utan bisaya is very popular here in Cebu, Philippines because of its healthy living style. It is composed of vegetables and here are the ingredients.

●malunggay (horseradish)
●alugbati
●galay (leafy vegetables)
●okra
●kalabasa (pumpkin)
●Gabi
●sibuyas dahunan (onion stingray)
●tomato
●salt
●magic sarap
●water
●tanglad

Its up to you how many amount of vegetables you want to cook.
It is all depend on your budget or in your garden availability.
Utan bisaya (sinabawang gulay) is really healthylicious.

Here is the procedures:

  1. Boiled a right amount of water in kaserole.
  2. When it is boiled. Put the pumpkin ,okra , gabi. Let it boiled again until its softened. You may add the tanglad for the sweet aroma of vegetables.
  3. After, put the leafy vegetables like alugbati , galay, malunggay. You add the sibuyas dahunan, tomato.
  4. You may put the salt and magic sarap already. Dont over cooked the vegetables.

Tips:
When cooking vegetables after you put the leafy vegetables dont cover the kaserole. To remain the greeny leafy vegetables. So that it will not looked like " nalata" rots.

My family loves to eat utan bisaya.
Specially their is a dried fish pared with the utan.
