Mt Shasta, California is a beautiful place. Whether it's a hike on the mystical mountain (which is also apparently the Earth's sacral chakra) or a chat with one of the local mystics, it's a magical place to be in the summer!
We drove up to Panther Meadows again and then made the hike up to Gray Butte which gave us this spectacular view of Mt Shasta and the sunset above! The trail on the way was also an easy beautiful hike!
I'm not sure if it's in the spring water that we (and everyone else who lives here) have been drinking and bathing in for the last month or the fresh pine infused air, but I'm so happy to be in this natural wonderland.
We have made one local friend that walks near where we're parked almost every day. We have chats on most days that we see her and now we have been to visit her and her husband at their lovely home.
They are the most generous people and sent us home with a bag full of produce from their beautiful garden! We are going back tomorrow to do some work in the garden and get even more goodies!
We've enjoyed this place so much, it's started to feel like home, and we've even talked about the possiblity! We are leaving here in few days though, to head to Portland! We will be there for a while, meeting up with family and also some Steem fam!
We have actually spent most of our time near Lake Siskiyou in the @thedodgemahal because you can stay in national forests for 14 days for free in your motor home or camping.
We've moved once to follow the rule, but no one has messed with us at all. In fact, the only people we have met are either currently doing something similar or did so in the past and are pretty much the nicest people you could imagine!
