Lutris does a lot more than just wine will do. its bonkers trying to set this up in wine with only what you have in wine and a dozens of google searches, it also imports your windows steam library. :D
probably nothing other than the specific game requirements sometimes require a different version of wine or a certain specific wine set up for a fussy windows game that needs a different type of wine set up that Lutris already has documented and worked out, also consider that a lot of windows game-updater-game-loaders don't work as intended under wine and Lutris will facilitate these loaders to work with wine if you use Lutris.
