Easy editing VR gallery (Photofeed weekly?)

Some of you seen my idea of easy editable VR gallery on Hive, build in dlux. As i got into the builder more i did realized that with my knowledge it will be hard to make something really easy, but with some understanding of what is what there is an possibility to just change links for photos in the code and get a new exhibition.

To test this out i needed a good amount of great photos and @photofeed is doing an really good job in photo curation. Decided to use theirs last 7 days of Daily PhotoFeed Roundup. Hope they will not mind :)
Maybe this could be a thing, Photofeed VR Gallery Weekly

I still need to find a way how to link photos to specific posts or at least usernames on Hive and not make it overly complicated and time consuming. Because the idea is to enable people to check out other work of creators they like, or maybe even to link photos to minted NFTs. At the moment only thing i can do is tag them all in this post :) Sorry if i miss anyone, i am writing this after finishing the whole gallery.

My first idea was to make a 56 photo gallery (photofeed does 8 per day and i wanted to add all of the photos in last 7 days). But as the photo count went up my computer was feeling it more and more. There are 25 photos and 29 lights in the gallery. So i first wanted to test it out and see will people be able to see it or will it be too heavy for smooth walk. Also you can go through walls, as i am not sure how much strain will it add to computing. Not adding it makes photos a bit higher as i was planing it from the start of a build. And actually walking on the floor of the gallery would get your character a bit higher.

Input of everyone willing to check it out would be highly appreciated. Were you able to see it on your device? How smooth it was. Any glitches, problems... And also overall impressions.

It does take some time for everything to load, so some patience is needed :D

Thanks for checking it out.

That's awesome @bil.prag ! Let me know if you need any support!

I used an iMac to walk through it and everything looked great and was smooth for me. Really great idea!

I'll retweet it for more exposure!

Thanks. I thought about writing you about this, but then yesterday i had some free time to start adding photos.

in next few days i want to see how much time will i need to replace all the photos with new ones. with this concept i think it will not be that complicated.

Also would be great if i manage to make everything clickable, but we will see.

This was pretty cool, I'm excited to see where this technology is going to lead, especially when it comes to websites, NFT galleries, and more.

there is a way to add an option of click on the photo to lead people to an NFT site or profile but i am still learning code and i am not sure how simple would it be to change all of that.

was the walk smooth?

Thanks for your work and for including mine as well! It's a really cool idea!

Thanks. it is the photofeed curation work, i was just using his good taste in photography :D

I finally managed to get around to looking at this, it's pretty fucking badass. Looked at it on a laptop, was smooth, no glitches or problems of any sort.

Hey @dandays, check this shit out.

thanks for the feedback. i had few complaints about being a bit choppy on older tech. found that round pillars are pretty heavy for rendering so they will probably be square :D

Thanks for creating it! I've got a newer laptop that is decidedly on the low end in terms of hardware and it had no issues, even with a video game running in the background. Hey, whatever works.

Absolutely Fantastic! Best VR yet on dlux!!

Auto adding photo's wouldn't be too difficult... it would likely end up working a lot like the 360 gallery we built. That said... it would still be a day or two of coding out a good solution both in the code, and a UI for the drag/drop, link and/or upload part.

i was thinking about that, but as a final part of it :D

the "hack" i was thinking about, not sure about some parts, is just taking the code from (glitch does not want to load at the moment) post? part of it and pasting it to another remixed project. I am not sure where the data about 3d model is imported, so not sure would that work.

will try to do an video to see how easy would that be.

Hahaha that looks so cool :D My first VR exhibition It work good without VR glasse 👍

thanks. I think i still did not got a VR headset test. maybe this will be an excuse to buy one :)

Haha no mate, I need a new camera 🙈

That was so cool bil.prag, I'm not sure how I've missed your content until now. I tried going to the VR with a half decent connection and just now again in WiFi—way better! @nineclaws

we are small, but looks like not that small :D

it does take some time to load and it is a mix of IPFS (models are on there) and links from hive, so often depends on how everything is working.

Great idea!
I can open it and the download doesn't take so long, some lagging happens during "movement"
At first, I crashed into a pole 😂
Keep up the good work 🙌

i need to see what can i do to optimize it. still new to this so no idea what is the most demanding part of it. wanted to add the Navmesch so you can't go through walls but was worried that it will be hard on performance.
also tried to play with shadows but then realized that rendering shadows from 30 lights real time is something i don't want to do at the moment :D

First off, Fuckin awesome.

Secondly works perfect on my laptop on shitty internet, and beams to the TV via sorcery with no issues. So Id say its a success.

Thanks. hope that in the end it will be simple enough that anyone can make their own gallery.

good to hear that it is not that resource heavy as i thought.

This looks sooooo cool, it's a great idea.

Also, I was looking for some more photographers to follow on here, and now I know where to look! :)

Thanks.
There is a fair share of photographers out here :D

There are so many different photography communities and different hashtags and I guess I'm still figuring it out.

Anyhow, I followed some more people that you had featured in your gallery, so thank you!

Hi, this is great :D Thanks for exposition of my shot as well :).

Thanks. You do have great shots from some great places :D
