So i haven't posted in like decades, if your confused at why this is showing up in your feed i dont blame you, i would have forgotten me too.
If you dont remember i posted a lot of rough sketches, mostly of things from Dungeons and Dragons.
This has not changed.
Specifically right now im making the token art for my new character, a Dark Elf paladin, and i thought itd be fun to post the process as it happens.
So for starters i pretty much stole the base pose from this piece of official art that i saw while being frustrated at how all the official token art floating around never seems to match the exact hyper specific appearance im looking for.
Which i more or less drew over at its tiny size to get this
which was naturally just a muddled mess once resized to something thats actually readable, but that just meant i could actually start on drawing the real thing,
Hey its actually starting to look like a character.
But unsurprisingly in trying to add whatever details spring to mind all at once, things became a total mess at some point there. So after an extra layer just to smooth things out and make it readable going forward, i now have this
I feel like im better at this than i remembered, why the hell did i stop?
Anyway, thats where im at now, and maybe when i post the next update ill go into some of who this character is and why she looks the way she does.
such as why her armour looks like a medieval spider-man getup, and why a knight would be wearing a blindfold.
