Hola amigos hoy quiero presentarles a Humbolt de la Nieves, él es un canino de raza Mucuchíes, está es una raza de perros venezolana, su origen como tal es aún es indefinido: por una parte se dice que nació a causa la invención del médico veterinario Wilender Ferrari y por otra gracias a la teoría del cruce de perros guardianes y pastores en tiempo de la conquista.
El Mucuchíes es un perro grande mide aproximadamente 75 cms, y 50 kgs, es de semblante agradable e imponente. Es adorable, noble, cariñoso, bastante leal, inteligente y muy valiente. Cuida muy bien de los suyos. Por el clima de los páramos andinos este perro tiende a tener bastante pelaje para mantener su calor corporal y sólo se cría en climas fríos por lo que no se recomienda llevarlo a zonas cálidas porque su salud de vería afectado. En el año 1964 fue declarado como el perro nacional de Venezuela.
Humbolt de las Nieves, es un perro guardián que guía a los excursionistas en sus largas travesías, tranquilo, amable y bastante simpático, es una adoración verlo, te provoca abrazarlo. Es un perro excepcional que se desplaza entre las colinas como pez en el agua, ama salir a caminar e ir de paseo entre las montañas.
Como Humbolt hay una gran cantidad de perros que son de gran ayuda, sin importar la raza que sean ellos son seres vivos fantásticos que merecen ser amados y protegidos.
