Annabelle is a Raggeddy Ann doll, a doll whose design has been patented by American author Johnny Gruelle. This is very different from the creepy, scary-looking doll.
Originally, this doll is quite cute and far from the word terrible. Annabelle's eyes were made of buttons, and her hair was of red thread.
Since belonging to Warren's couple, Annabelle entered as one collection of "Occult Museum" located in Monroe, Connecticut, United States. This is the museum where these paranormal couples store artifacts claimed to be related to supernatural activities and events.
In this museum, Annabelle was kept in a small glass cabinet with crucifixes, prayers, and warning not to open the door of this closet.
