Week of 05/14/19 to 05/19/19

This week's list looks a little lower in sales but that is because I'm off by one day. Last week I posted the list a day late and so this week I'm hitting the reset button but removing the repeating day. So, we have a 6 day week rather than 7 reported today skewing the numbers some. That's alright, domains are still selling each and every day and continue to be a great investment and side hustle. Personally, domains have been a much better investment for me than any crypto currency has been.

Here's the Top 20 Domain Name Sales for last week that have been recorded by namebio.com

The List

  1. edito.com - $29,589 - Sedo
  2. 28678.com - $14,833 - GoDaddy
  3. vitatech.com - $10,110 - NameJet
  4. ticker.io - $10,049 - Park.io
  5. agence.com - $10,000 - Sedo
  6. sportigo.com - $9,600 - Sedo
  7. v8.cc - $8,496 - Sedo
  8. ivtherapy.com - $8,001 - NameJet
  9. giant.net - $6,500 - BuyDomains
  10. sunglasses.org - $5,605 - DropCatch
  11. perfectos.fr - $5,586 - Sedo
  12. lazybear.com - $5,515 - NameJet
  13. cvma.com - $5,200 - BuyDomains
  14. goxi.com - $5,100 - NameJet
  15. niyogin.com - $5,000 - Sedo
  16. pricetracking.com - $4,650 - GoDaddy
  17. thenomad.com - $4,550 - GoDaddy
  18. edito.fr - $4,469 - Sedo
  19. freeslots.casino - $4,200 - Sedo
  20. peruthisweek.com - $4,120 - GoDaddy

These top 20 sales have a combined total of $161,173 dollars making the average sale price $8,059 dollars. Once again, this is skewed to look a bit lower because we're doing a 6 day week rather than a 7 day week like usual.

About the Names

Today's list contained 13 .com domains, 2 .fr, 1 .io, 1 .org, 1 .cc, 1 .net, and 1 .casino

I really like ticker.io, lazybear.com, goxi.com, and thenomad.com. I'm curious about some of these... For example, edito.com sold for quite high at number 1 as did a matching edito.fr down at number 18. Same buyer? Maybe. The v8.cc domain sale surprises me a bit as well as the .casino but I think short 2 character domains always attract buyers even if they're a terrible domain extension (.cc) and I suppose as gambling laws become more relaxed it's only a matter of time for these .casino domains to start selling.

Well, that concludes the Top 20 Domain Name Sales for the last week.

@plaid You should totally do a domain post in regards to best crypto-based domains on the market. I'd wager that many people could take away some additional value from that here since the majority of the steem users are involved. Keep steeming.

That is a good idea! I like to mention when there are crypto related domains on these lists as well as feature them in my series Recent Developments. There are a ton of crypto domains that are bought and sold everyday and sometimes they can offer a hint or glimpse into new things happening in crypto. They can also be a barometer for how successful an established crypto project is doing. For example, when ShapeShift.io purchased ShapeShift.com back in 2017 for around $25,000 dollars. That was a strong indicator that the cryptocurrency exchange was growing!
