Work in our lives isn't just a way to make money and support ourselves. It's also a big part of our identity and sense of self-worth. From a young age, we hear, "You have to study to get a good job." Sometimes we think work means an air-conditioned office and a chic suit, but the truth is that work comes in a thousand forms and a thousand ways.
There are people who work simple jobs, like carpenters, plumbers, or those who operate a falafel cart, but they do their work with dedication and love, earning a decent living from their labor. Others have degrees and high positions, but unfortunately, they don't feel this value because their work is just a means to escape boredom.
The right kind of work is when you feel like you're doing something useful, even if it's simple. For example, if you're fixing a shoe, you're making its owner walk comfortably. If you're writing an article, you're making the reader understand something new. There's no such thing as a small job or a big job; there's a right and wrong way to do it.
Of course, we must understand that work doesn't mean our entire lives are a cycle of exhaustion; there must be balance. Work, get tired, but don't forget to relax, see your friends, and laugh with your family. Work is important, but your mental health is more important.
