dPoll Post: Updates - What Would You Prefer?
This post has to do with my poll of the day selections at dPoll. Check out this poll if you have no idea what this is all about.
Getting Started
- Thanks to @deathcross I added the Neutral/None of the above - option on my selections polls. Without this option it looked like I'm forcing voters to agree with my selections and I did not realize that until @deathcross commented his disagreement with one of my selections. To top it all, dpollers have been voting the option. Thank you @deathcross
- Also, thanks to @deathcross @bluengel and this poll have considered implementing a reward for voters.
First, I had a discussion with @deathcross under this post in which he suggested another way to reward and promote more engagements through polls.
Next, I had @bluengel comment "what's in for voters" along with his vote in one of the polls.
This all got me thinking about having more participations and engagement on my selection polls.
The polls normally gets 8 to 14 votes (except in rare cases where there is an influx of votes for a particular user) as compared to over 40 votes on polls that reward voters. It is but normal that many people would only get involved in things that could profit them somehow.
Let me make it more interesting right?
The poll part of this post is to decide the best method to reward voters.
Aside the one SBI for best poll of a particular day, I think I can cope with spending one more steem everyday.
Below are the suggestions I have in mind;
- 1 STEEM bounty on every selection poll to be distributed among all voters (certainly unequally - maybe based on additional comments) check out @steem-bounty to learn about the service.
- 1 SBI (Steem Basic Income) unit to one random voter. Check out SBI FAQ to learn about the service.
- Allow voters to choose between receiving a Steemmonsters card or an SBI unit.
Points to Note
- This will only apply to the best poll of the day selection polls.
- I currently have 53 cards, worth $0.09 per card on average at the moment.

The result of this poll will be evaluated in 96hrs (on Friday) and voter reward will be implemented from Saturday's post.

Maybe all of the 3 could go from time to time.
For example the reward method could change from day to day, or from week to week, or from month to month. Or something similar.

This would encourage interaction and real, human comments, which nowadays are rare on Steemit and on the Steem blockchain.

In my opinion, both can be challenging places.
I like you as a fellow bounty hunter but I noticed you don't always read through bounty posts before committing.

In my opinion, if you can afford then Steemmonsters option and SBI option sounds effective because then you are inviting both Steemmonsters lovers and SBI lovers and inturn more engagement towards the Dpoll post.

This give the most variety of options and you can get vote by sharing your STEEM Monsters tagged posts on their official Discord channel.

@akomoajong, Voted for Another suggestion because in my opinion both of the places can be challenging.
the desert by a long shot. I like to be cold but living in the frozen tundra be very difficult. Living the desert would be challenging with the lack of water, however you would need less supplies.
