Your life is pointless only if you think so. You need to give your own life purpose.
Maybe the purpose is existance itself.

But even if human existance was ultimately pointless, that doesnt give us the intelectual right to make the leap of saying:

If there is no afterlife, living is pointless therefor afterlife exists.
