I've had one NDE and while I was out, everything was silent and peaceful. I experienced no pain or emotion. I will check the site, seems like an interesting place.
But to you, do you think we will retain our consciousness as well?

Yes, of course we do. I read a lot of NDEs to know that we do, and I also believe in it.
Most of these experiences are very positive, and most of the people are feeling endless, unconditional, infinite love and wellbeing (without any pain) after they separate from the physical human bodies.
There are also neutral and negative (or partly negative) experiences as well, but that is certain that we continue to live on.
Some people write that they even had (and remember) their past earthly lives.
So they're saying that reincarnation is actually a thing.
The question I have are rife, like is there any connection between our lifestyle choices and how we spend the afterlife? Will we come back to earth afterwards as ghosts or as humans?
