There has been concerns about it's backing dollars. Perhaps it would be worth looking into that. It is difficult to use others because the tether trade pairs are still the dominant ones.
I know there were concerns about the warrants (security) on the bank accounts backing Tether. But I suppose if the problem were real the price couldn't be 1,01 USD as at the time of writing.
Anyway, I used it only a couple of times and don't know when I will need stablecoins again.
