Who will step first on Mars?

A new space race began? Possible. There are various plans to send humans to Mars, but seemingly this requires many more years. An existing or a totally new flexible, effective private company will make it? Or some dinosaur-like big state with its bureaucracy and corrupt politicians?

I don't think the astronauts will survive it.

I suppose they won't send them until they have a 95 percent of chance to survival. A tragedy isn't their interest

This time would be different from landing on the moon. Astronauts may spend the rest of their lives on Mars. I think.

difficult to imagine but possible

The human race is already on Mars.
