RE: Why do you think that STEEM is underperforming?

I agree that STEEM is somewhat of a hidden gem, but I don't know if the turnaround will be soon or later. I also believe STEEM is underrated, but without an active, concentrated effort with marketing, beyond what some folks are doing on their own through Twitter and other social media, I'm not sure how the market is supposed to find out.

Crypto is the new sparkly thing, and so you have to be able to sell it, your team and yourself. I haven't seen enough of that happening. Someone else is left to run the narrative, and those folks don't have a vested interest in STEEM, so they go after the next shiny project. It was EOS, now it's TRON, next it will be something else.

STEEM just needs to get in the game. Leading out with its best apps might be the way to do it. We've got a lot of beta dApps though, and not much in the way of cutting edge.

Good points, marketing is something that has been a weakness here from my observations. Maybe that will change when the Blocktrades DAO starts up, and the Steemalliance becomes active and funded.
