FOR THE INFORMATIONWAR COMMUNITY; What kind of writing contests do you want to see in future?

I haven't seen any entries for the Informationwar writing contest - The Intelligence Process and Informationwar yet...
there is a 10 share stake in SteemBasicIncome as the prize, and
entries are due tommorrow.

I am curious as to whether SBI is a good prize for you or not, so I'm running this poll to find out

Which prizes would you like to see in future InformationWar contests?

  • SBI is OK

  • Give me STEEM

  • SBD for me

  • Delegate SP

I have eschewed automated mechanisms for rewards on principle, but I reckon I am in the minority by far. The unfortunate fact is that my home is in turmoil, and my attention necessarily dedicated elsewhere. I should make a brief post about it, as I am soon to become even scarcer a presence than I have been this last week.

I wish I could undertake to participate, but I have duties I must fulfill that take precedence.

I do really appreciate that you have undertaken the things that I have seen you do.

Thanks!

Best of luck in resolving the home issue.

I think you provide a great value to Steemit... BUT your family takes precedence.

Let me know when you return

Maybe you need to explain to folks what 10 SBI is, how much it's worth, how it works, etc because I honestly don't know either.

SteemBasicIncome (SBI) is an account (actually a collection of accounts), @steembasicincome, that generates one or more upvotes per day, based upon the amount of shares you own, combined with how often you post.

I have about 115 shares of it right now, and my posts right now are making me about .12 a post...when I stop posting for awhile, the balance builds up and I come back to a .40 vote, which decreases in value each time I post. Eventually, you stop getting votes if you vote too often within the payout period.

I'm annoyed because I thought I had bought you 10 shares of this last year (I got em for everybody on the IW board), but I'm not seeing any sbi votes on your last couple of posts

Do me a favor and enter
!sbi status

and that should tell you if you have any...

If not, I'm sorry, I seem to remember doing so

Hi @wakeupnd!

  • you have 4 units and 0 bonus units
  • your rshares balance is 113746579924 or 0.057 $
  • you need to wait until your upvote value (current value: 0.011 $) is above 0.012 $

Structure of your total SBI vote value:

  • 74.15 % has come from your subscription level
  • 0.00 % has come from your bonus units
  • 12.24 % has come from upvoting rewards
  • 13.62 % has come from new account bonus or extra value from pre-automation rewards

ah, now I remember, I bought FOUR shares apiece for 13 or 14 steemers, the IW board included

and to demonstrate how that benefited me, for every share I bought, I got one share myself...so after a couple of contests you can see how I got up to 115 shares

Looks like i'm just below the threshold before they start upvoting my posts.

give it a couple of days to recharge, you'll see an occasional upvote from one of the sbi acccounts...which will tap you out...then it'll recharge and you'll get another one

IDK what the recharge timeline is, tho. I don't pay attention to it ;>

Hi @stevescoins!

  • you have 111 units and 5 bonus units
  • your rshares balance is 966487965369 or 0.483 $
  • your next SBI upvote is predicted to be 0.097 $

Structure of your total SBI vote value:

  • 52.88 % has come from your subscription level
  • 0.24 % has come from your bonus units
  • 46.88 % has come from upvoting rewards
  • 0.00 % has come from new account bonus or extra value from pre-automation rewards

and the other thing of note is that you get an amount of shares equal to the number of shares that you buy for someone else...which is one reson I bought a round of shares for the board ;>

But, i really need a writing contest that gets me to write. Because, i get stuck in too big to do, so it doesn't get done thoughts.
Usually it is a the photo or the infographic that i want to create.

so you'd be more interested in a meme contest?

or are you talking about diagrams?

too big to do, so it doesn't get done thoughts.

happens to me a lot...when you can, try to break things down into chunks (it doesn't always work ;> )

When you write text, it often doesn't work by itself.

An infographic or a image that sets the tone is necessary.

Also, when explaining things (like this weeks contest) you need lots of graphics to do a good job explaining.

Almost all my images are my own creations... so never copyright.

Although, i think i had some removed for being close to the actual object.

all good points

I tend to steal my graphics from the internet, but I do make sure the source is either part of the graphic, or linked

Holy Dogshit, Batman, I can see you haven't made a blog in a month!

So I can see what you're saying

SBI is the best choice for me but perhaps you could offer to delegate SP for a certain period of time.

Maybe not a bad idea...

SBI does offer a return back to me as well

Yeah, absolutely!

There is another option to consider as well that I used once, liked how it worked, and then completely forgot about
