RE: Can steemit be a major source of livelihood?

in #dpoll5 years ago

Voted for Not.

Seriously? Steemit?
Where a lot of people's blog posts are ignored, and they are earning only a few cents with their posts, and thosusands (maybe hundreds of thousands) of people are left (and still leaving) Steemit because of their disappointment?
Certainly not.
Except, if you have a lot of Steem Power, and your upvote worth at least $7, and you wrote two blog posts per day, and you upvote both of them with 100%.
That would make $420 USD per month, which is enough for a living in my country (Hungary).
$420 USD is currently (2019.02.03, 10:55 CET) 116 193 HUF, because $1 USD is currently 276.65 HUF.
To do this, you currently (nowadays) need approximately at least 347 000 Steem Power.
So, except for some cases, Steemit can't be a major source of livelihood because of the selfishness and the greed of the people. Almost everyone wants to write, but almost no one wants to read and communicate.
So, Steemit can't be a major source of livelihood for most of the people.
Except, if they change their behavior.
But the Steem blockchain maybe.
Steemit and the Steem blockchain are two different things.
There are some good dApps on the Steem blockchain, and probably there will be more in the future.
These good dApps have really good communities (very different communities from the "community" of Steemit).
