But money always attracts people.
Many people are doing this (only) for the money, and this is why the Steem blockchain is not successful. Most of the users are not using the platform naturally. They are selfish and greedy. They focus only on their own blog posts, and they do not care about other people's blog posts. There are many blog posts posted every day, but the average number of the comments is very low. The real human interaction is rare on the Steem blockchain. This results in thousands of ignored/overlooked blog posts, and in the same or more amount of disappointed users, and they eventually leave the platform.
