Whitewood Harbor (Est. AR 799)

During the 799th year of the Age of Reason, the founding of Whitewood, the first elven harbor city, marked a significant milestone in elven history. The elves, known for their affinity to nature and mastery of magic, had recently relocated to the newly-discovered forests of Craymille.

The story of Whitewood's founding begins with the visionary elven leader, Lady Elenya Starsong. One of the first to traverse the Eastern Passage, Lady Elenya was a wise and skilled elf, renowned for her diplomacy, wisdom, and her deep connection with the mystical forces of the world. She had a dream of uniting her people and fostering a harmonious coexistence with the other races of Galeal. In pursuit of this dream, she sought to create a city that would serve as a seat for the elven high council.

At that time, the elven clans were scattered- some exploring the vast woodlands, some exploring for further passages, some left behind in Mechala, and communication among them was challenging. Lady Elenya believed that a central city, with access to both land and sea, would facilitate communication, trade, and cultural exchange between the elven clans and the other inhabitants of Craymille and the world of Galeal as a whole.

After months of meditation and consultations with the high council, Lady Elenya decided on the location for this ambitious project. It was to be situated at the the exit of the cave system which connects to Mechala, which also happened to be near a split in the White River. This prime location would allow the elves to harness the power of the forest's magic while also providing access to the inland sea through a series of waterways.

The construction of Whitewood was a grand endeavor that required the collaborative efforts of many elves pooling their knowledge of architecture, magic, and nature to create a city that would blend seamlessly with its surroundings, almost becoming one with the forest itself. The city's structures were crafted using enchanted wood and leaves, adorned with magical symbols that would enhance its protection and concealment.

The harbor of Whitewood was a marvel in itself, as it was a convergence of elven magic and natural wonder. Large, gracefully crafted tree roots formed piers and docks, while the endlessly rushing waters of the rivers and the sea were navigable through enchantments cast by powerful elven mages.

Over time, Whitewood flourished, and its influence stretched far beyond the borders of the elven forests. It became a beacon of peace and unity in a world often marred by conflict and discord. The elves, known for their longevity, maintained a deep commitment to preserving the harmony of Whitewood throughout the ages.

To this day, Whitewood stands as a symbol of elven magic, ingenuity, wisdom, and their unwavering dedication to maintaining a balanced and harmonious relationship with nature and the diverse inhabitants of Craymille. Visitors from all corners of the world journey to Whitewood, eager to witness the marvels of this ancient elven harbor city nestled within the heart of the mystical forest of Craymille.
